Just started the birth control Yaz.....?

So I just started taking birth control Yaz, and so far I have been on it for 5 days now I started on the first day on my period. Is it normal to feel sick but no having to throw up?

let your MD. know, your dosage may be able to be lowered. In some people it is normal to be slightly sick as it is changing your hormones. After a couple of months your body will adjust. Did your MD. tell you to start the pills on the 1st day of your period or day 5 of your period. Call and talk with your MD. he/she can answer all your questions.

Yes, that is perfectly normal hun. Nausea is a common side effect of most bcps when you first start them. Your body is just trying to figure out what to do with all of the new hormones you are feeding it, lol. My doctor recommends giving a bc brand at least 2 months to see if it is right for you. If you are still experiencing side effects after that amount of time you should switch brands. Try to stick with it, it will get better :)
