  1. yeah people will prob explain stuff to you but if you have never hit before or gotten hit its really weird your first year but if your a good athlete youll do good

  2. The first few days will probably be a lot of running and conditioning.  Most states require everyone to go through 3 days of only wearing shorts, tee shirts, and helmets with no contact.  This is usually called h**l week since there's no contact and all you can do is run.

Expect to find some coaches who feel they have to yell to get all their points accrossed and other student coaches who dont know what they're talking about.

Once you get your pads, normal practices usually start with stretching and warming up.  This is usually a light jog followed by different stretches then high knees and stuff like that to get your muscles warmed up.  Then coaches will usually give you a water break, then breakoff into position drills.  The teams i've been on usually alternate between offensive days and defensive days.  After your position drills you usually get a water break (or some breaks in between drills) then get together with the whole team for scout offense and scout defense (depending on whether its an offensive or defensive day) where the starting offense will run their plays against the defense while the defense runs your opponents' defense (so your offense has a chance to get used to what they're going up against on game day), or the other way around if its a defesive day.  Then most practices end with some sort of conditioning drill, whether its 100 yard sprints or razzel dazzel (basically smear the q***r).

  3. Yes they will. Just done expect them to baby you, you should expect normal exercises push ups, sit ups, squats, jumping jacks, and then running, then you guys should begin working on your plays, formations, seing what you are good at and what your not so good at.
