1) I learned to skate when I was 5

2)I currently play adult women's travel C and sometimes B

5) Demand to play at a young age. The one rink down here in Florida at the time told me I could not play because I was a girl. I should have demanded to play.

1.Skated ONCE in my life and not gonna do it again.Kids skating past me and taunting me..I caught those little punks in the parking lot after.jk of course.

2.I played many foot hockey tournaments in the Philly area.

3.Glenn Cochrane and Brian Propp when I was younger.

5.Learn to skate which many felt if i did I would have been a good one.

6.Yes..Who knew checking a guy then calling him a nice name in a big tournament could get you thrown out?

7.I got me at Center,Lubers and Zam on my wings...Iceman and Kimmy on D and Spaceboy in the nets.

8.Never played with but participated in leagues that former players Rick Tocchet and Peter Zezel played in.

1- Around age 2 or 3, before I could remember, and shortly after I could walk.

2- 2nd year of bantam - couldnt afford to play after that because my parents made me pay for it.

3- I don't really remember.  My dad is from Connecticut, and my Mom is from Michigan.  Mostly my Mom, but really just growing up in Michigan and having all of my friends play growing up.

4- I played net for 5 years, defense for 2, and LW during a summer league which I won't count.  I had a 3 g, 2 a game in my 2nd year of peewee.  Ironically, it was against a team from London, Ontario.

5- Wouldn't have played goal for so long.  I think the cost of equipment is what ultimately lead to my demise.  Feel sorry for me.

6- Six times.  5 for fighting, 1 time for jawing at the ref.  4 of those fights came in my 2 seasons as a defenseman.

7- I have no idea how old anybody is, or how athletic they are.  I would have to assume Canadians or folks from Mich, Minn, or the East Coast would be the best to select to my team.  Not sure of people's nationalities yet.

8- I played street hockey with Derian and Kevin Hatcher when I was younger.  My uncle knows them from a while back, I think he met them at Greektown Casino in Detroit or Casino Windsor.  They are originally from Sterling Heights, MI, but Kevin Hatcher moved to my friend's street near where I live now, and Derian lives in Bloomfield Hills with most of Detroit's rich athletes.  They're both enormous, and they b*tch at each other all day like they're still 12 years old, it was really entertaining.  They each gave me some old game sticks, gloves and a jersey.  Very cool, laid back guys.

1. I think I was about 41/2. We had moved to the suburbs into our own home in a new post war community that spring and the fathers built a rink that winter. At least so the legend goes.

2. Intermediate "B" or CIAU (scrub team)

4. Scored a hat trick in an intermediate game. Many more in senior old timers hockey games.

5. Back Check more often.

6. Only as a coach. Ashamedly during my drinking days I had a tendency to lip.

7. Other than LITY, Cyrenic, and Haley there aren't many here that I truly would put my @55 on the line for.

8. Played two years with  "Shotgun" Simpson in old timers. Played against a number of ex-pros at charity games and against some others in oldtimer tourneys.

1) I couldn't have been older than 8, because I was still going to a French school in those days

2) I nearly played Canadian collegiate ice hockey. (Universite du Quebec a Trois Rivieres, 1997 - 1998)

In rec leagues I have played in the B (A being the highest) leagues in California alongside several ex-college players.

3) My brother has always supported my hockey playing. Even arranged for a school in Mexico to reimbourse my airfare just to teach schoolkids how to play road hockey for a week. I think my grandpa would have been an influence, had I known him. He used to live and work in Blairmore, Alberta (pretty close to Lethbridge)

4) As a player: 5 goals (like Mario's except 2 of mine were shorthanded and none were on an empty net) and 2 assists in a roller hockey game against the SFPD at the "Bladium", must have been around 2000 or so, we won 11 - 7 or something. I can still see the stick I used that day. Easton Pro Gold 100 stiff shaft with Sherwood "Adam Oates" blade.

As a goalie: (and in ice hockey) My first shutout. 31 saves including one where while we led 1 - 0 with 2 minutes left I had gotten tripped up. While trying to get up, this guy Joe, a Chinese dude from Windsor, let it rip from about 20 feet. Don't know how, but while on my back, I got my blocker up and "punched" it out to the corner, soon thereafter, one of our guys got an emptynetter and we won 2-0.

5) I would have gotten my neighbours more involved in my training. I honestly believe if I had faced better competition when younger that I could have played in college and then who knows eh?

6) No but I have come close .. have gotten in 3 fights and won all 3 (including 2 by KO)

7) By all means, but I haven't made my roster yet.

8) By pro I assume you mean NHL/WHA : in which case most recently Steve Dykstra (Sabres, Oilers, Penguins, Whalers) but also Bobby Clarke, Andre Lacroix

If u include Central Hockey League players, then you can add guys like Jason Cirone, Dennis Maxwell ..

Also in women's hockey, Kim St Pierre, as I know her personally
