  1. I don't believe that will ever happen.

  2. its so easy to find it, and it's been easy since i was 13

  3. LMAO...yea...its not too hard to get it at younger ages but they should change it down!

  4. I'll explain why it will never happen.

Look up MADD, this group worked to push the government to put the drink age BACK to 21. Now since the federal government actually has no right to control the age consume (the state does actually) the age of buying alcohol back then varies between states some has 18 as theirs others had it like it is now 21. Now this group convinced the federal government that it should be 21, for reasons that included:

responsibliy/mature, personal stories of drunk drivers causing death of their family members, even scienfitic facts (the connect between myleination of the frontal lobe being age 21, won't go into detail about),etc.

So the federal government told the states if you do not make the age to purchase/consume alcohol 21, we will pull your federal funding for highways. So all the states agreed. But you be surprised how many 7/11 used to sell to underage back in the 80s and 90s.

trust me they won't reduce the age, think of it the federal government would never pay for highway repairs and you oculd never be able to drive a car without getting a flat

most states budgets are in their offices, health, taxes and education, highway repair they barely pay for.

  5. i live in Australia but have an American friend and I struggle with the idea that i can't buy alcohol over there! I'm 19 so i have been able to for over a year now, so its weird that there I would still have two more years to go, especially since i'm independent and living out of home! You would have thought in this day and age that more people (i.e students) would be pushing for it lowered! But then if you can get it anyway, then i guess it doesn't matter :)

  6. Several states are looking at it right now.* There is also an organization http://chooseresponsibility.org lobbying congress about it.

If you truly want this to happen. Educate yourself about alcohol and the proper use of it. Don't just be that typical 18 year old who gets smashed and proves the point of the detractors. Live above it and show that 18 year olds are capable of responsible drinking.

  7. Unfortunately probably never. It is kind of stupid that you can Vote for a President but you cannot buy alcohol. How retarded is that?

  8. It would be great. But it probably won't happen until you and I are to old to consume anything stronger than unsweetened tea. The law is practically useless though. It's easy for a teenager to get booze if they're really determined. I bet that if they lowered the drinking age, there might actually be less underage alcohol consumption, because before teen drinkers were acting out of rebellion more than anything else.
