THIS is not really a question but it's worth losing 5points if it helps someone!!!

If you recieve a card in the post from PDS (parcel delivery service) with the phone number 0906 6611911 IT IS A SCAM!!!

IF you ring the number & hear a recorded message you will have alredy been charged £15 (belize)

You should contact royal mail fraud department or ICSTIS(the premium service regulator)

Hope that helps to stop a few people being conned!!!

  1. This scam has been going on for a couple of years now!!!  Its about time someone put a stop to it.

I wonder if we could do a reverse charge call to them so that they are the ones to pay the £15??

Probably not but it would be good if we could

  2. -----WARNING: THAT IS AN EXPIRED SCAM WARNING!------

You recieved this by email? I know you mean well but I'm afraid you fell for one of the many invalid scam an hoaxes warnings that are going around. Only thing about this one is that in this case there was such a scam but this was stopped in 2005. There are also a couple of errors in the warning. The charge was at a premium rate of 1.50, not 15. Also the name ICSTS is not used any more. The current name of the service is Phonepayplus

Below are the links for more information. The first one is the ICSTS official press release on this from the phonepay plus site. The others are a hoax reports and forum threads on this email warning.

Whenever you recieve such a warning you should first check on internet if it's still valid and it's not a hoax. Easiest way is to simply type in the characteristic words like "PDS scam" or "PDS hoax".

TO EVERYBODY WHO JUST MENTIONED WANTING TO WARN OTHERS ABOUT THE PDS SCAM: PLEASE DON'T!!! Internet is getting swamped with spam and hoaxes as it is without adding this to it! It's unfortunate these things are so hard to stop. For more info on these practises you can have a look at the hoaxes site listed below.

  15. I don't have this exact one but I think I have recv'd similar e-mails with the same intent.  Maybe we should devise a way to store and catalog these sites and see if there isn't a way to put them out of business.

Seriously there has 2 b a way 2 reverse there intentions so they back fire.

  16. Thanks for letting us know! I'll pass it on :)
