  1. If the parents are illegally here then that will cause problems when they have to register the birth. The hospital will send a list of all new borns to the local registry office and when the parents go along to register the birth the baby will be on that list. They will ask the parents what their address is, their date of birth, place of birth etc. As they don't have passports because they are here illegally they will not be able to leave the country in the ordinary way in order to register the birth in their home country. It may be best for them to come clean and tell the hospital or the police so that things can get sorted out properly for the baby's sake. Surely the poor little mite deserves that?

  2. turkish

  3. British

  4. The baby will have the same citizenship as it's parents. :-)

  5. not British ~ so the baby would take their  parents citizenship!!

children born in the UK on 1st January 1983, or after. One of the child's parents has, since the child's birth either become a British citizen, or has become settled in the UK. (UK don't have automatic birthright citizenship)

  6. As the child's parents are not British and do not hold Indefinate Leave to Remain (legal status in the UK that allows them to stay in the UK permanently) the child will automatically take the parent's nationality.

The child may need to be registered at the embassy of the nationality of the parents.

  7. English, because the birth will be registered in the UK.

  8. child would take parents nationality

and as here illegally even registering the birth will be a problem.

jusy go home and register birth there

  9. Scotish

  10. A new Born Baby cannot be called "Illegal" . But if its Parents were Illegals in the country then you have not registered the Babys birth for fear of being Caught.  The parents will be deported when caught  and the Baby goes with you.

  11. If you are not married the baby will take on the mother's home nationality & will have to be registered as a national from that country even though born in the uk.

  12. Dunno but I know the baby has no rights to remain here and the parents have no rights just cos the baby was born here (Ive seen someone deported with their baby for this)
