Got this in an email, thought you guys would enjoy it too!

Things you learn from living with a horse:

1. People who don't take care of their own horses will be the first ones to tell you how to care for yours.

2. You should never buy a cheap girth!

3. A handsome horse who's badly behaved will become a lot less attractive in about 15 min.

4. People who think they have nothing more to learn about riding, hit the ground the hardest.

5. Children and ponies are natural allies and often have identical dispositions.

6. The richest horse people often look the poorest.

7. The closeness of a horse is one of the sweetest smells in the world.

8. A solitary ride through the bush is more beneficial than six months with the best psychiatrist.

9. The worse a person rides, the more likely they are going to blame it on the horse.

10. The best thing about going to the barn first thing in the morning is that horses don't care how you look.

  1. Number 20 made me laugh out loud... so true!!

And 25... oh yaa. That's exactly right.

I love these! Thanks for sharing =]

  2. This was great... I came by to read it earlier but didn't have time to post.

Numbers 1, 4 and 8 remind me a certain someone that boards at my place. I won't name names.. Just incase they come to the horse section of Y/A... ^_^ Haha

    Thank you for sharing!

  3. Hi Juliane,

I am going to forward this to all of my horsey friends!

I love this, it has so many things on here that most of us can relate to!

    THANKS for passing it on!

    Jennifer

  4. omg i love this! its all so true!!!!

  5. THAT IS SO TRUE!!

My biggest pet peeve is people who blame the horse. "Well, HE doesn't" or "Well HE did this"...... Gahhhh. There is no such thing as a bad horse, only poor training or an ill equiped rider.

  6. So right !!!!!!! but i could spend the whole day n the saddle though!!!!!!!!

    LOL i love this!!!! :}

  7. i love theses thanks!

  8. I love those! lol, and their so true :P I especially liked numbers 4 (lol, that one made me laugh), 7, 8 (lol, I think horses are better psychiatrists than actual psychiatrists), 10, and 30 ♥

Thanks again for posting this, I rlly enjoyed reading them!

  9. Oh man, thanks for sharing this, this made my day!!!

    It's so true too!!

    I love number 5 and 15.

Oh, number 10 is the best one too.. even if I'm dressed in my PJ's and my breath smells, my horse doesn't care, he just wants oats, haha.

  10. well i think thats its all true but the one that i can relate to the most is number 32 one of my horses had to be put down when he broke his leg.

But the time that i had him for and spent with him was some of the best ever :D

  11. haha i love this... made my day :D My favorite ones are number 1, have had many experiences with people like that, number 3, definately had that experience too, oh and number 9 is upsetting cause people do that allt he time. Number 10 is very true also which is just one of the million reasons i love my horse.

  12. No. 14 is soo right on. I have 4 in the tack room, 1 in my truck 3 in the trailer and I can never find one when I realy need it.

No. 17 I have to dissagree with. I spend 8 hours in the saddle quite a bit. I would rather spend 8 hours in the saddle than 20 min on the couch.

    But hey thats me.

  13. Man 4,5,6,8, and 10 are so true.

this is cool, hope you don't mind, I pasted it and copied it to send to someone, she knows all about horses, but cant tell you one breed from the next..

this is good, thanks, I got a chuckle out of them all.

    made my night...

and the one about, hits the ground the hardest, well this fits someone I know so well....has problems riding and all...

but, he will get a kick out of this..

    thanks again
