  1. thanks, i've just spat coffee all over my laptop!

  2. No! they need to convert current combustion engines to work with hydrogen to make a significant effect. Even creating specific hydrogen cars means we have to throw out the old ones.. wheres the environmentally friendly part of that?

  3. The stories are comparing an apple to a pumpkin.  The first is a motorcycle with a body that can go faster than it is safe to drive. Most people don't have the jet fighter pilot reflexes needed to drive 300 mph.

The second story is about how to build better caravans as if people will make them permanent homes, when they are meant for vacation travel.  The fast 2 wheeler is built right, so it will perform.  Many caravans are shoddy, poorly made and there is no doubt that they should be made better.  But do we need entire towns of well made caravans?  I think not.

  4. Probably the second one

  5. Here is a question,

Where are we going to get the power to run these cars? They are still going to have to burn coal, oil, Natural gas, Chow chips or something?

Solar power and Wind power wont just cut it due to the Vast amounts of land needed to produce the power and unless you are pro-nuclear (I am) you are still going to have to burn fossil fuels.

As for forcing car companies to do something, well, there are in business to make a profit. and car buyers want a car that they can own and use cheaply. Hydrogen is still 20 years out (They where talking about during the 1970's craze over global cooling) and by that time Ill bet you that we find a better fuel for transportation

  6. never  going  to  happen  in  our  lifetime   unless  you  got  billions  going ..... spare.......   share  ,,,,but  as  in  all  types  of  technology   ...could  be  cheap  as  chips  tomorrow

  7. The first one, that way all the stupid people would off themselves.

    To shapeshifter

Yes they can and it's easy, but storage is the problem.

  8. What really annoys me is the way car manufacturers are trying to bury electric car technology... and I don't mean hybrids...I mean rechargeable electric cars... hence able to use renewable electricity. They can have a range up to 300 miles on one charge, batteries have been improved that much. We should not be dependent on fossil fuels for personal transport. There is just no excuse any more.

  9. the secind

  10. neither,   both seem pretty useless, the bike is like 3 million dollars, and only seats what, one or two? with no room for cargo?  Seems impractical and stupid to me.

BTW, modern internal combustion engines will never be able to be converted to run on hydrogen, Period.  I think they are two very different concepts.

  11. The second one...

  12. The first one doesn't have enough trunk space...

The second was too hard to find..

If the second one is about hydrogen, the main problem there is refueling... because it's pressureized you have to change the entire tank each time you refuel.....It's not user friendly...

  13. The planet could do better if humans vanished from the earth.

  14. This what you need (with a little development to make it bigger and cheaper!):

This is a good one for people who believe all electric cars are just underpowered roller skates with a range of two miles :-) 0-60mph in four seconds! There's an initial review here:
