  1. I bet the BBC don't send over 40 reporters to Georgia though! The hotels are a bit low class if you see what I mean.

  2. how dare they.

  3. Copying a classic manoeuvre perfected by the Israelis.I'm surprised they haven't taken the opportunity to bomb Iran.

  4. Not selfish; tactically genius.

Think of this-- a majority of leaders that would become involved politically in this situation were en-route to or actually in China for the global athletic event.  Pres. Bush and Vladimir Putin definitely were; the Olympics have become major parts of both nations' sociological culture, even with the collapse of the Union of Soviets and the conclusion of the Cold War.  As a result, this was among the best opportunities Georgia could have taken advantage of to attempt to regain control in the Ossetian region before Russia could respond.  The question is, how will all this pan out?  Will this affect the rest of the region? (Georgia borders Turkey, so this is not far from the Middle East.  Infact, Georgia is considered a "Euro-Asian Nation")

  5. They have been at it for years, they just haven't given it a "title" before.

    *SL

  6. These people will do anything for attention

  7. More like good timing.

I bet they thought no one would notice as all the worlds media attention was on China and the Olympics

  8. this happen in this world hopefully they sort it out before more people get killed.

  9. If Russia wins during the games does that disqualify the Georgian athletes from competing from then on?

  10. You may mock but this could develop into something you may regret....Don't forget Bush is still in charge...You might think your tough but these lads are highly trained killers who will show you no mercy......
