Just wondering how safe this is?(ebay) 10 points for best answer?

I was just wondering it's my first time buying things online and i was just wondering how safe it is to buy things from ebay? Please answer me truefully what do you think about the sight have you ever had problems with it or the product that you've ordered. Also an information to print or do to insure my safety on buying things from the internet. Thank you!

I've bought a ton of stuff off ebay with virtually no problems.  My suggestion to you is that 1) Always carefully check the rating of the seller...look at the feedback and ratings to see if they are a reliable seller, 2) Get a Paypal account...a very safe way to do money transactions...the seller never gets your bank or credit card info.  Also, you are protected by paypal in the case of fraud or if you don't get your merchandise.  

Ebay is an awesome way to shop!  Just read everything carefully and check to make sure you are buying from a reliable seller.  ;)

I just started buying things and got a bit of an ebay addiction. I think I'm still a fan but today got an awesome bag that I was looking forward to....and...the inside is all coming off and it's much smaller than it said.

I did get an amazing deal on the sopranos and that package was fine.

My boyfriend always told me to look at their feedback and take the time to read it. I didn't do it with the bag, but he did do it with the dvd set.

Also...many people forget to look at the price of shipping so be careful with that.

I also only use paypal...just because I don't want to get taken advantage of  either

  EBay has been around for a long time now and have

the knowledge on how to protect there customers as

well as there self that's why they are still in business

this long and holding on strong, even during the

recession. Which way you go with them I think you'll

be just as safe as Bank Of America. Nothing is

I have bought many times through eBay. I have not faced any problem.I don't have experience with other sites. You need to be careful on the authenticity of the site as some one can get your credit card and address details through fake means.

Pay pal.  That is the only way to buy on-line.  Pay pal is the safest way to do transactions.  They will insure you for any reason.  Do not buy off a seller unless they offer pay pal.  Once and only once I bought a product off e-bay through a system called "cc now".  Then when I realized that the seller pulled out without a trace, I had credit card fraud on my Mastercard.  And I had never received my product.  Only buy off seller that have a good percentage beside their name.  This is feedback.  You can see all the positive feedback in their file before you start bidding.  Trust me, I am an e-bay addict.
