so i was reading up on pellet type kitty litter. My kitten has a big problem with tracking n flingin litter EVERYWHERE n Im SOOO sick of it...she also seems to like to play and sleep IN her litter box...which jus disgusts me cuz its gross...but they say not to punish her for it or she wont want to go in the litter box again. So i was wondering if anyone had any tips on if theyve tried litter pellets instead of clay litter??? did u like the pellets? do they still help with odor?? can kitty cover up their poo with pellets? and I was wondering if people thought mb the texture of the pellets ...it feelin less like a sand box...might help to keep her from playin n sleepin in her litter box?? Im just not sure how well she'll adjust to pellets? will they stop the flingin and less tracking? are pellets more or less expensive? can u scoop pellet? and how often does a litter box with pellets need to be cleaned? any advice on pellets over clay litter would be greatly appreciated.

  1. I don't know about the pellets but maybe your cat likes the smell.

  2. a cat that's always had clay litter will probably stop using the box if you switch to pellets. cats either love them or hate them.... mine HATE them. pellets are not as scoopable as clay litters, but they're very absorbant. they'll fling just like clay litter but don't tend to track as badly. pellets are usually a little cheaper but you go through them quicker than clay. i had to clean pellets more often than clay, and scoop at least twice a day (for two cats) or the box got NASTY! personally, i like what pellets stand for (all natural, recycled materials, non-toxic, etc) but many cats wont use them, mine included, so i buy clay

  3. My kittens like to do that too. I prefer the pellet litter made of recycled newspaper. It is usually cheaper than scoopable too. It is nice because they usaully dont track it. As far as flinging, i would try a booda dome litter box, it has a lid so if they do fling it doesnt go flying out as much. I also like the paper pellets becasue it doesnt leave my kitties smelling like a flowers or perfume. And it is easy to clean because the pellets turn darker and absorb the urine really well. Good Luck
