JustAnotherAdoptee?

You always sign your answers with "34 yo adoptee blessed to be back with my n-family through the miracle of reunion". Excuse my ignorance but I am curious - what does the "n" in n-family stand for?

  1. Sypdermomma-- I think it's the same person who really didn't answer the question but chose to insult the person using n-family and the person who asked the question.

N-family stands for Natural family. Every adoptee has a different term that talks about their biological family. Most do not use it to insult adoptive parents, like someone on here is accusing them of doing.

  2. The "n" stands for "natural" in other words the family she comes from, the mother and father and extended family. Or as many of us call it " the first family" every child that is adopted has a natural or first family, that family is the family they were born to.

  3. Natural Family.  Some people here also call it 1st Family.

  4. They mean birth/bio-family and want to rub the word "miracle" into adoptive parents' faces.

  5. Natural Family.

  6. I'm pretty sure it stands for natural family. That means the family she was born to.

    EDIT:

Hmm, interesting how all 4 answers have gotten a thumbs down. This seems like a pretty factual Q & A to me, something it seems odd to have strong negative opinions on.

  7. natural or natal.
