"I’m really thrilled to be taking up the position as Warriors and Scorchers Head Coach," said Langer, who played 118 first class matches in 17 seasons for the state team.
"I was very fortunate to serve an apprenticeship with Australian team and can't wait to roll up my sleeves and get started on this new challenge at what promises to be an exciting time in WA cricket," added the 41-year-old former Australian opener.
Langer, who retired from international cricket after the 5-0 Ashes win over England in 2006-07, was appointed as Australia’s batting coach back in November 2009.
Cricket Australia has, meanwhile, appointed the Centre of Excellence coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, who are due to tour Down Under in the latter half on December.
Law, 44, who played one solitary Test for Australia in 1995 and 54 One Day Internationals, had coaching stints with Sri Lanka and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 before returning home earlier this year to take up the head coaching role at the Centre of Excellence.

"Stuart's a really solid individual and has made a real impact," said Howard. "The fact he's got experience not only in Australia but on subcontinent and England to help deal with players of the future, he's got an impact now to work over the next couple of weeks with the players of now," he added further.
