Justin Langer urges Oz batsmen to perform – Cricket News Update
Australia’s batting coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Justin-Lee-Langer-c69712, has pushed his batsmen to fix all their fault lines and score confidently in their upcoming home Test series against India, claiming that the national selectors cannot tolerate lean patches for long.
The coach is vigilant with the players in the ongoing batting camp at Melbourne Cricket Ground where the Boxing Day Test is set to be played. Almost all the top batsmen, including http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BJ-Haddin-c1170, Dan Christian,
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SE-Marsh-c2470 are attending the camp.
According to Langer, the major thing the Aussies need to learn is mental toughness as cricket is more of a mind game. He advised the batsmen to be mentally prepared to face the mammoth challenge which the mighty Men in Blue will pose in the 4-match event.
The veteran mentor has clearly indicated that that he will not accept any excuse from any player for poor performance.
Talking to the media today, Langer said, “You can do the physical and technical preparation but for me a lot of preparation for the opposition is a real mental thing. A lot of it has to do with strategy. It's a mind game really. We know the Indian bowlers
really well. We've just got to get our minds attuned to getting ready for what is to come.”
He further told, “The recent batting collapses, we certainly don't ever accept those, we need to get better. I think the wicket in Hobart was really green, and in Cape Town it was a lot different wicket than we'd generally play on. But I'd like to think
that no one is panicking.”
For the first time in the history, the cricket experts and analysts are regarding the Oz side as underdogs in front of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754. It is being predicted that the Blue Shirts will
dominate the yellow jerseys and win their first ever Test series on the Kangaroo soil. These predictions have rendered the Australian selectors, cricket managers and coaches sleepless as they are h**l-bent to avert the possible upset.
