If a person under the age of 18, and they went in to a restaurant and ate the food and left without paying. They have not commited any crimes before, What sort of charges are they going to get?

  1. In QLD at 17 you are an adult before the law. You would probably be served with a notice to appear in court for the offense of leaving a hotel without paying (very simple offense - minor fine and no conviction recorded for first time offender).

    If you were under the age of 17 then you would probably be cautioned for the same offence (must be fully forthcoming and remorseful).
