Olic’s deal is set to expire at the end of this season after which he’ll be available on a free transfer until Bayern offer him a new contract. At first, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 international was certain to leave the club during the ongoing
January transfer window but his performances in the winter break have impressed manager Jupp Heynckes, who has hinted to offer the player a new deal.
The attacker now wishes to secure his future at the Allianz-Arena before even thinking to play for any of the aforementioned clubs.
While talking to Sports magazine Bild.com, the 32-year-old further stated:
"I will not decide anything without having spoken with Bayern. But I will not know what Bayern have in store for me until May. I have a big family, we want to plan our future. I'd love to stay, but not only for a year.”
Olic expressed his desire to play more regularly for Bayern after the restart especially having impressed his manager with his recent outings. He added that he could still play for nearly two years, but urged the Bayern bosses
to assure him of his future which will be beneficial for both him and his family.
"At 32 I no longer have the claim to play from the start of each game. But I want to play more than 10 minutes once every five games. I can definitely help our team for two years. Let's see what happens," the Croatian concluded.
The attacker has so far made seven league appearances this season prior to going into the winter break, and could be a part of the playing XI on Friday, January 20, against Borussia Monchengladbach when the season restarts.
