Juventus' Simone Pepe wants his team to look forward after a goalless draw with Fiorentina- Serie A news
Italian international and Juventus winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Simone-Pepe-c33591 has expressed his disappointment over a goalless draw played against Fiorentina on Sunday, 17 April. This tie hampered the Old Lady’s hope of making it to next year’s UEFA Champions League. Pepe also
has urged his teammates to look forward and concentrate on the upcoming matches in order to be back on the winning track.
The 27-year-old said while speaking to reporters, “We didn’t play to our best, but we had an important chance with [Leonardo] Bonucci at the beginning of the second-half which could have changed the game, and we could have taken more advantage of some counter-attacks,
as we did in Rome.”
Pepe claimed that it was an open game and both teams had equal number of chances. According to him, Fiorentina have been a far better side when playing at home and to steal a point from them at their home, although not an ideal result under the circumstances,
is a somewhat decent achievement for Juventus.
The on-loan winger Udinese confirmed that the Bianconeri tactician went in with a decent formation but unfortunately it wasn’t as effective on the day as it has been in the previous three matches.
The Italian international added, “Now we have to reverse our course again and return to winning ways. The championship will decide the verdict. Now we’ll think about the game against Catania, and then we’ll see. "In these last games, playing with this system,
we’ve obtained three victories and a draw, so obviously that’s not the case.”
Pepe joined the Girlfriend of Itlay on-loan from Udinese on 9 June, 2010. Since his arrival at Stadio Olimpico di Torino, the 27-year-old has appeared in 22 Serie A matches and has four goals under his belt so far. With Udinese, the winger made 104 appearances
before he spent a year long loan with Cagliari and then was loaned out to Juventus for 2.6 Million Euros.
Juventus are currently seventh in the League table with 52 points and now have gone eight points short of the fourth placed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 after playing out a goalless draw.
