Europe at the end of the season.
Juventus defeated Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome to strengthen chances of qualifying for the UEFA Europa League and possibly the UEFA Champions League. A late goal from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Simone-Pepe-c33591 secured all three points for the Turin giants.
The former Serie A champions currently sit in seventh place with 56 points and are four points behind the fourth placed Lazio, who occupy the final Champions League berth.
Del Neri claimed that it was a great win from his side and a determined performance from the players. He revealed that the club will give their all in the remaining games and achieve the maximum points to qualify for Europe.
“We intend to fight and achieve our ambition of Europe. We earned an important victory after a performance of great heart and effort. We’ve shaken things up in the top spots now. We saw real application and dedication this evening.
The results might not always come, but these lads all spit blood for the shirt,” the former Sampdoria manager was quoted as saying.
The Italian hailed the splendid performance from his side and claimed they played better than the home side. He added that the score line could have been much better if Bianconeri had taken their chances in the first-half, but stated
that he was thoroughly satisfied with the attacking display from the players.
“Juve stole nothing and fully deserved this success. In the first-half we were the ones who had the clear-cut scoring opportunities. We contained their counter-attacks. Don’t forget Lazio are fourth, so it’s not easy to come here
and dominate them,” he concluded.
The Turin giants still have to play Chievo and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 at home and an away trip to Parma to play till the end of the season.
