Juventus: Claudio Marchisio delighted with brace in 2-0 win over AC Milan – Serie A Update
Juventus midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Marchisio-c9312 is excited after scoring a brace against the defending champions, AC Milan, in the home game on the weekend. It was reckoned to be one of the biggest fixtures of the season as the last year’s Scudetto winners travelled
to Turin to face the well prepared Juve squad.
Juve emerged strongly in the game, creating numerous chances throughout the game, though, the score line remained barren until the closing stages of the game. Their efforts paid off in the final 5 minutes, as Marchisio beat the Rossoneri goalkeeper, Christian
Abbiati, twice to secure maximum points for the Turin giants.
The midfielder, while talking to media after the fixture, explained how the Lady Killers were confident of scoring if they pressurized the visitors well.
“I had said at the end of the first half that we needed to maintain this tempo. We believed to the end and my opening goal was proof we must never give in,” said the midfielder.
The Italian international scored his first brace and was greatly pleased with his performance for La Vecchia Signora.

It was the first big game for Juve on their newly constructed Juventus Arena and they are looking very strong and motivated.
“This stadium and the fans deserved this type of an evening. We prepared knowing how difficult it would be, but it’s not as if we needed extra motivation in such a fixture,” concluded the midfielder.
Marchisio is a product of Juventus youth academy and he was called into the Juve first team during the 2005/06 season; however he remained an unused substitute. Later on, the midfielder captained the Juve youth squad in the Campionato Nazionale Primavera
and secured the runner-ups spot in the competition.
After his consistent performances with the youth squad, Marchisio made his first team debut in a 3-0 Coppa Italia victory against AC Martina. The 25-year-old midfielder has made over 110 appearances for Juve and has netted the ball 13 times.
