Juventus midfielder, Claudio Marchisio, has revealed that the Turin giants are not taking Inter Milan lightly. The midfielder insists that despite the Nerazzurri suffering on the league table, they are not to be taken as easy targets.
Juve have made a great start to the ongoing 2011/12, unbeaten in the 8 Serie A games thus far and sitting atop the league table. On the other end of the table, the former Treble winners, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567, can be seen on the 16th spot in the league as they
have managed to win only 2 games so far this season.
However, Marchisio believes that it’s just the start of the season and the league rankings will change very soon. The Italian international believes that Inter are a big team and they are desperate for success.
While recently talking to the media, the midfielder said:
"No-one should trust Inter's position in the table, they're a huge team and they'll give their all against us. We have to face the Nerazzurri with the same desire and intensity we've shown in our last few matches. We want to maintain our lead in the table
and we must have no fear."
Juve have had a rough time in the Italian top flight since the match fixing scandal of 2006. They got relegated down to the second division but made a quick comeback into the Serie A the very next season.
However, since their return, the Turin giants have struggled to make an impact until now, though, they have started the ongoing season in good fashion.
Marchisio now wants to win the Scudetto for Juventus and a win against Inter at San Siro would be great boost for the Bianconeri.
"I want to win the league, this year we're not in the cups so I really hope we do it. My teammates, the staff, the fans and I all really believe. We've had two terrible seasons and this year we can't mess up.”
Furthermore, the midfielder praised the head coach, Antonio Conte, and said that he is like a part of the team as he celebrates with them on the pitch whenever they score.
