Juventus FC indecisive about Simone Pepe’s future; the winger wants to stay – Serie A Update

Pepe has had a mixed campaign just like the Old Lady, as the winger struggled to show his perfect form and game on the field. The same happened in the last away league fixture against Parma FC where the team lost 1-0. The defeat left the team’s dream of making it to UEFA Champions League for the next season in tatters and now the team is tracking a UEFA Europa League berth.
“We gave a bad impression at Parma and compromised our campaign – even though we were unbeaten in eight games before then,” he added.
The defeat became the source of criticism from director, Pavel Nedved, and President Andrea Agnelli. The winger responded saying, “If the club are talking in the way they are then it is because they are right. We have to pull up our sleeves and move forward. We have given 100 per cent, but some defeats suffocated us.”
Pepe also took the blame for the outcome this season and claimed that the team is responsible for the bad outcome this term. However, the player and the team are keen to extract better results from the upcoming season.
“We take full responsibility, as the Coach does. We’re saddened and disappointed with how things have gone, but not everything needs to be thrown away”, concluded the 2010 World Cup winner.
Juve are currently on a total revamp campaign for their squad and it is expected that many changes would be seen in the squad in the coming season.
