Juventus FC keen on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Internacional-c39573 striker Leandro Damiao – Serie A Transfer Update
Serie A giants, Juventus FC, are in contact with the agent of the Internacional striker, Leandro Damiao. The 22-year-old has impressed many clubs throughout Europe and is wildly expected to be a star attraction in the near future.
The young Brazilian international was previously reported to be in contact with the English Premier League outfit, Tottenham Hotspur. However, Juve are now in the acquisition race and it is reckoned that Italy would be the next stop for the talismanic striker.
Damiao's agent, Vinicius Prates, has already met the Bianconeri officials and there has been progress regarding the transfer deal for Damiao.
Prates was recently talking to Tuttosport where he revealed the initial contact between the two parties. Vinicius said:
"I met with the leaders of Juventus but there's nothing official. We just talked.”
The agent also claimed that many other big clubs in Europe are after his client and he named Real Madrid amongst the interested parties.
"It's normal that big teams want the boy; they have called me from all over Europe, including Real Madrid,” added Vinicius.
However, Vinicius hinted Juve to be the top priority at the moment and showed more interest in sending his client to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.
“Juventus are a great club and it would be an honour for Leandro to play for them." The agent said.
Furthermore, Damiao’s representative claimed that there are other Italian clubs that want to lure the young sensation and he mentioned that any club with the right offer can land his signature.
"It depends on making a deal with his club. But it's still possible that next season they boy can play in Italy. I confirm that the three main Italian teams are interested in our striker,” concluded the agent.
The Brazilian outfit is expected to accept an offer around the 30 million Euro mark, a price many clubs would consider too steep for the striker. Moreover, Juve are already overcrowded with strikers, and head coach Antonio Conte has already made signing a midfielder his priority.
