Juventus FC have officially announced the signing of the former SSC Napoli midfielder, Michele Pazienza, on a three-year deal until the summer of 2014. The Italian footballer has been acquired on a free transfer from the Neapolitans, making him the third
free acquisition for Juve during the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Azzurri midfielder was in Turin yesterday for his final medical examination which he passed successfully. The 28-year-old midfielder has been a part of the Partenopei first team and is reckoned to be a great addition to the Turin giants. The official
statement on the Juventus website read:
"Michele Pazienza underwent a medical today and signed a three-year deal that will tie him to Juventus until June 2014."
Rumours were high in the Italian media that the midfielder’s agent had confirmed the move to Juve and the player would be leaving by the end of this month. Pazienza also confirmed the statements of his agent, revealing that he is leaving the Neapolitans
due to personal issues and disagreements with the Naples-based outfit.
The midfielder has played a key role in the 2010/11 campaign for the Azzurri. The Italian footballer helped the outfit finish third in the Serie A and consequently qualify for Europe’s most prestigious club competition; UEFA Champions League. The former
Udinese player is optimistic about his future with the Lady Killers and is keen to help the Turin giants reach qualify for the Champions League in the upcoming 2011/12 season.
Pazienza is the third signing of Juventus during the ongoing summer transfer market.
