Juventus FC striker Alessandro Matri confident about Champions League qualification – Serie A Update

The hitman is confident that the Old Lady would be playing in the most prestigious league in European club football
in the 2011/12 season.
The Lady Killers have made a good comeback into the Italian top flight after winning their last 3 fixtures; against Brescia, AS Roma and Genoa. It was the first time in the season that Juventus managed to secure three consecutive wins. The victories have
given them the confidence and renewed hope to fight for a better finish this season.
The Old Lady currently sit in the 7th spot in the Serie A rankings, 2 points behind AS Roma, and 5 points adrift of Udinese at the 5th spot. The team are tracking the UCL qualifying spot by a deficit of six points, taken by the 4th

Matri, after their recent win against Genoa, was happy with the outcome and seemed to be optimistic for the ending games of the Italian top flight. The striker added that it was all about having faith in your own self, and it was that belief because of which
they won the match.
Matri said, “We are thinking about it and hope to do it. But we need to keep winning. We had the feeling that it would take little to turn things around and that's what we said between ourselves at half-time.”
Talking about the targets set for the ending of the season, Matri said that the Old Lady are keen to register more victories and close down on the UCL spot.
“The upcoming games are very important and we are going to make the best of them. I am focused on qualifying for Champions League and will give my best to my team,” added the prolific striker.
