Juventus FC unsure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313’s role in the upcoming season – Serie A Update
Juventus FC are still not sure if they want to keep http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 midfielder is still uncertain about his future in Turin, and the Bianconeri are reportedly wondering if Aquilani is indeed the kind of player that they need for the upcoming
2011/12 season.
The Little Crocodile came joined La Vecchia Signora ranks in the last summer window on a one-year loan deal from the English outfit. The Old Lady had the option to buy the player outright at the end of the season for 16 million Euros and the offer expiry
was to expire on May 15, 2011. Juve failed to make the Reds agree to their terms.
The player’s agent, who was optimistic about the deal going through until recently, revealed to TMW yesterday that Juve are keener on a defensive midfielder, rather than a player like Aquilani. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Zavaglia said:
“Juventus have asked us for a few days to reflect and in the meantime we are looking around in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 and Europe. I don’t think the problem is the transfer fee, but it has more to do with the system Juventus will play with. They are looking for a more defensive
midfielder. Let’s see what doors open for us, but Aquilani won’t be left in the middle of a road because he still has three years to go on his Liverpool contract.”
Aquilani is looking for a new offer and it is reported that AC Milan have shown interest in the player. However, the player’s agent seemed to be unaware of the situation.
“I’m not aware of Milan. At this moment in time it is all just speculation and we haven’t been contacted by the Rossoneri.” Zavaglia concluded.
Juventus have signed a new tactician for the upcoming season, replacing the much criticized Luigi Delneri. The position has now been given to a former Juventus player, Antonio Conte, who is well aware of the worth of the outfit and is keen to take the outfit
back to its glory days. The tactician is expected to use a 4-4-2 formation on the field, where two central midfielders would cover for his attacking midfielders.
