The former Bianconeri winger believes that bringing in Borriello is not a good choice and the Juve transfer gurus should have focused on the midfield and defence department.
Legendary Juventus left winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 and reckons that the Juve directors are making a mistake.
Juve have issues in midfield and defence, and the former Juventino believes that the club should invest in a different player.
The Turin giants are very close to landing the Italian international on a loan deal for the second half of the season and will reserve the right to buy the player outright at the end of the campaign. However, the veteran believes that Alessandro Matri is
the kind of player that can serve on the flanks as well as in the middle and can be a good alternate for the Roma forward.
The veteran was recently talking to Sky Sport Italia where he expressed his point of view regarding the transfer. The former left-winger said:
“I don’t want to go against the Juventus directors and I have respect for Borriello, but I wouldn’t have done this deal. Perhaps Conte wanted a certain kind of striker to make use of Juve’s work on the flanks, but I think he could have used http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Matri-c4733
who he already has.”
Furthermore, Causio believes that there is a need to invest in other parts of the squad.
“I think that Juve need adjusting in other departments – such as the midfield and the defence. Instead they’ve added Borriello to their attack and I just hope he ends up being the League’s top scorer.”
Latest reports from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 suggest that Borriello will be arriving in Turin on a loan deal of 1 million Euros, with a buy out value of 7.5 million Euros.
For his part, Borriello is also keen to move elsewhere in search of first team football, as he has seen little action under Antonio Conte in Turin.
