Juventus President Andrea Agnelli will wait for season end to decide Delneri’s future – Serie A
Juventus head Coach, Luigi Delneri, is still uncertain of his future with the Bianconeri and is waiting for the ongoing 2010/11 season to end in order to have his status finalised. The tactician has been the centre of criticism in wake of Juve’s terrible
season, as the team’s failures have been blamed on the former Sampdoria coach.
Juve had an identical term as last year where they failed to make a serious bid for the Scudetto title and finished on the 7th spot in the Italian top flight. The team is on the 7th spot yet again this season and there is little hope
for a better finish, as a single game remains in the season and that too against an in-form SSC http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.
The Lady Killers will improve their rankings only if they beat SSC Napoli at Stadio Olimpico Torino, while http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 will have to be defeated by Sampdoria in Rome – something very unlikely to happen.
On the other hand, Palermo are just a solitary point behind the Old Lady and one wrong step on Juve’s part would mean that Palermo will have a chance to overtake them. The results of the last game should not really matter in deciding Delneri’s fate, but
the Bianconeri President, Andrea Agnelli, is still waiting for the season to end.
Recently talking the media, the Juve President talked about Delneri’s future decision and the results extracted from the upcoming final fixture of this season. Agnelli said:
"We will evaluate the situation at the end of the season. In fact, I have not been happy and I’m very disappointed. But we will wait until the end of the season to discuss the future and see what can be done for the best of the outfit. We still have one
game and after that, we will discuss what will happen next."
Louis Van Gaal, the sacked Bayern Munich coach, has been named as the possible replacement for Delneri and reports from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 suggest that the outfit and the tactician are in process of discussing the appointment.
