Juventus: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincenzo-Iaquinta-c36199 is not joining Novara, claims agent Andrea D’Amico – Serie A Update
Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta’s agent, Andrea D’Amico, has negated the transfer rumours of his client and revealed that he will stay with the Turin giants.
La Vecchia Signora squad is overcrowded in the forward block and Juve are likely to part ways with a couple of strikers from their roster.
Recently, reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 claimed that Iaquinta would be joining the newly promoted side Novara in the upcoming winter transfer window after seeing lack of action with Juve.
However, D’Amico believes that such a rumour has no foundations, and Iaquinta would be staying in Turin and fight for a starting XI berth.
The Italian international’s representative was talking to Tutto Juve where he said:
“I don’t usually comment on transfer speculation involving my clients, but I’ll make an exception here. Such an option, at this moment in time, is without any foundation whatsoever.”
The agent believes that the striker’s career has been shaky due to his recent injury and that has cost him his place with the Bianconeri.
“Unfortunately for Iaquinta he’s coming off the back of some turbulent months because of his injury problems. They’ve haunted him and not allowed him to contribute to the Bianconeri cause,” added the agent.
D’Amico is confident that Iaquinta will fully recover from his injury and return to being a great contributor to the squad very soon.
“Fortunately though the bad luck has finally left him in peace and he can get back to helping out his club. His situation reminds me a little of Andrea Pirlo. Once he recovered full fitness, he returned to being a great player,” concluded the agent.
Juve are already having too many attacking options and many have not seen much of time on the field this season. Legendary http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Quagliarella-c13194 have all been on the bench more often than not. Del Piero is reckoned
to be departing at the end of the season as his contract expires with the Turin giants.
The Juve head coach, Antonio Conte, is keen to add more options in the midfield and some names need to be removed before new signings are made.
