Juventus bid for Manchester United attacker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 – Serie A Transfer Update
Reports from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 have revealed that Juventus FC have tabled an offer worth 8 million Euros for the Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov. Juve, with ambitions to revamp their squad and make a serious Scudetto bid in the 2011/12 season, are keen to
bring in the best players. Berbatov has been recently revealed as a serious contender for the attacker’s position at Turin.
La Vecchia Signora were previously tracking the Atletico Madrid striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero and were reported to be the frontrunners in the acquisition race. However, the Argentinean international was marked at the 45 million Euros which was considered too steep
by the Italians and they bailed out of the race.
Letting go of the Aguero string, the Bianconeri came up with another striker as the top choice. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Villarreal-CF-c40899, has been named as the top target for the forward block along with Berbatov being a secondary target. Reports from Italy and
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 suggest that a 25 million Euro bid is in the pipeline, and Rossi would be playing for the Turin giants in the upcoming term.
Berbatov, on the other hand, is kept as a secondary target by the Lady Killers and as the rumours suggest, a deal is very likely to work out between the English and the Italians.
However, recent report from an English newspaper quoted United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, saying that Berbatov is not for sale and the Red Devils are keen to keep the former Bulgarian International at Old Trafford.
“It was a difficult decision to leave him out of the final and I know he was disappointed. But we have had a long chat; he has accepted the decision and is looking forward to the new season. The transfer issue is not something we have to discuss anymore,”
said Sir Alex Ferguson.
Berbatov was left out of the UEFA Champions League final which United lost 3-1 to Barcelona FC. The decision left the forward disappointed and an exit from Old Trafford looks inevitable.
