Juventus boss Antonio Conte hails Bologna’s Federico Agliardi for heroic saves – Coppa Italia Update
Juventus head coach, Antonio Conte, hailed Bologna goalkeeper, Federico Agliardi, for his impressive performance against the Bianconeri last night in the Coppa Italia clash. Agliardi made some fine saves during the game and made the Turin giants work hard
for the victory.
The Lady Killers found numerous opportunities in the game played at Stadio Olimpico in Rome. However, the Bologna shot-stopper denied Juve’s repeated attempts on goal. 
The game went goalless for 90 minutes until Emanuele Giaccherini finally found the opening goal for the Turin giants. However, Bologna struck back quickly in the injury time, when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Raggi-c5707 netted the ball to score an equalizer.
The match then went into extra time, where http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Marchisio-c9312 finally found the second goal and led his team to victory.
Conte was talking to the media after the game where he expressed his appreciation for Agliardi and said:
“Their goalkeeper made some extraordinary saves. It was really disappointing to concede in the 95th minute because it forced us to make extra sacrifices.”
Conte played many reserve players during the game and was pleased to see a positive response from his side. The tactician is ambitious to lift the Coppa Italia title this season and was pleased to have qualified for the the quarter-finals.
“I had some good responses out there though from some players who haven’t played that much this season. And I’m happy because this Cup competition is important for us,” said Conte.
Conte hinted at a possible bid for the Bologna player who scored the solitary goal for the losing side.
“He’s the kind of player who knew how to make the best of him with smaller teams and now he deserves to be at Juventus – as he’s shown this evening,” concluded Conte.
Conte and his men would now travel to Rome on December 12, when they take on AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 in their next Serie A game.
