Juventus coach Antonio Conte demands determination ahead of the Bologna clash – Coppa Italia
Juventus head coach, Antonio Conte, is looking forward to the upcoming Coppa Italia game against Bologna tonight. Juve are not featuring the European competitions this season after they finished 7th in the league last term, therefore, Conte and
his men are concentrating on the Italian Cup instead.
The head coach was recently talking to the media regarding the preparations and ambitions of the Lady Killers ahead of the Italian Cup game. Conte demanded focus from his men and wants a win in order to make it to the Quarter-finals of the competition.
"The Italian Cup is an objective which we must honour. I expect great concentration and determination from everyone and I want to see if we know how to maintain the same intensity and tempo that we have in the league." He said.
However, Conte revealed that he will be using his secondary choice players for the upcoming clash. Many Bianconeri players have had issues with the club for not giving them sufficient opportunities to play this season and the Juve boss is keen to give them
a chance to prove their worth.
Players like Milos Krasic and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Quagliarella-c13194 are keen to make an impact with the Old Lady despite being linked with a move away from Turin. The two players have repeatedly said that they are keen to contribute to the Bianconeri cause.
"It's an important opportunity for those who haven't played much so far but who have been working professionally every month. I expect a significant response," concluded the former Juve midfielder.
Juve, alongside AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603, have both won the Italian Cup nine times and they currently hold the record for most Coppa Italia titles. However, Juve have not managed to win the competition in 16 years and the last time they lifted the silverware was back in
1995. On the other hand, Bologna have only managed to win twice in 1970 and 1974.
Juve are currently the Serie A leaders after 13 games and have a 2-point lead ahead of the defending champions, AC Milan. The Lady Killers are ambitious to make a comeback and are aiming to win both the Italian titles this season.
