Juventus coach Antonio Conte hails his players as champions after AC Milan victory – Serie A Update
Juventus FC head coach, Antonio Conte, has expressed his delight on the 2-0 victory over the defending champions, AC Milan, on Sunday evening. The game was played at the newly built Juventus Arena and it was the first big clash of the 2011/12 season.
The former Juve midfielder hailed his players as champions. The tactician believes that the Bianconeri have all the qualities there should be in a top team ,and La Vecchia Signora will soon rise to the top of the Italian football.
The head coach was talking to Tuttosport where he praised his players for their quality performance and said:
"To win these games, you must win as a team. This year, the good players have to be champions. We have players who can learn to be champions.”
Moreover, the coach also advised his team to stay focused on the targets to achieve. Conte believes it is too early to relax and enjoy the victories. The former Juve Captain said that the team needs to remember the last two seasons, where they finished 7th in
the league.
"It is too early to lose the humility which reminds us that last season we finished in seventh place. If we had failed [to remember to be humble] we would have been massacred by Milan,” added the veteran.
The Lady Killers revamped their squad during the recent summer transfer market bringing in quality players. The new team has turned out to be one of the strongest sides in the Italian top tier. Juve remain unbeaten this year under the coaching of Antonio
Conte and are currently leading the league points table with 11 points, on tie with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Udinese-Calcio-c40789.
Juve next face Chievo Verona at the Stadio Marc`Antonio Bentegodi on October 16. The Turin giants are looking in great form and it is expected that they will maintain their unbeaten run. However, Chievo have not lost at home thus far this season and are
expected to give a tough time to Conte’s XI.
