Juventus defender, Leonardo Bonucci, has asked his team to set high targets for the ongoing 2011/12 season and wishes to win the Serie A title. The defender believes that the team is capable of achieving the impossible as they have the quality and consistency
required to take over the Italian top flight.
The Lady Killers have started the ongoing term in great fashion and have been on top of the league table. However, having played one game less than the rest of the top teams, Juve currently sit on the 4th spot in the league with 19 points from
their 9 games.
Moreover, they have managed to remain unbeaten this season and are keen to maintain the clean run.
On the other hand, the current league leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Udinese-Calcio-c40789, have played 10 games and earned 21 points. So if the Turin giants manage to win their upcoming home game against Palermo, they will jump back to the top of the table.
The Juve defender believes that the Bianconeri are real Scudetto contenders this season along with the top teams like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, Udinese Calcio, and defending champions AC Milan.
However, Bonucci has also urged his fellow teammates to stay focused on the task at hand and wants them to concentrate on achieving the best.
The Juventino was recently talking to the club’s official website where he was quoted saying:
"We can aim very high this campaign. Do I think we can go for the title? Yes. I think we can win Serie A. However, we have to keep our feet firmly on the ground. Several sides are in the race for the Scudetto. We can focus on the league and give our all
in Serie A. There are a lot of strong teams, though, who are all fighting for the full three points in every game," said the Juve defender.
Juve are now looking forward to regain the top spot in the league table on November 20 when they host Palermo at the Juventus Arena. Being 2 points adrift of the top, the Lady Killers are aiming for a win against the Rosanero and earn the maximum three points
from their home game.
