Juventus goalkeeper Alex Manninger offered opening at Red Bull Salzburg
There are some surprising developments among Italian ranks as players from the La Signora Omicidi seem to be unsettled about their stay with the one of the strongest footballing powerhouses, Juventus.
Proof of that is, Alex Manninger is still pondering if he should accept the offer he is receiving from the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg.
Rumours are sparking up that the 33 year old might play his cards and bow out in his exit from Juventus.
In Turin the former Arsenal goal keeper Manninger has a cloudy future. Media reports have concluded that Red Bull Salzburg have offered him with an opening therefore now it’s up to the player if wants to demand a move.
At Juventus, Manninger is not exactly being showered with opportunities to play, as the number 1 glove choice is Marco Storari; so this could prompt Manniger to make the move.
For him there will be more bad news in January as the club will see the return of Gianluigi Buffon who was out because of back surgery.
Earlier during the FIFA 2010 World Cup, Buffon injured his back during a match and doctors advised him to rest and immediately sign up for surgery.
With all chances of possible action being erased it will be advisable for Manninger to join Red Bull Salzburg, after they won their domestic league, Austrian Bundesliga last season.
On the other hand Juventus has been performing poorly in recent times. They finished 7th last season, and this season too; after a stream of poor shows they are again at the 7th position having made just 8
points from their 6 matches.
Manninger joined Juventus in 2008 from Udinese. In these two years with the club he has appeared in just 27 matches therefore that is another reason why he should opt for a change back to his homeland.
