Juventus keen to lure Aguero and Lavezzi to stay at Napoli – Serie A Update
Juventus are keeping their tabs on Atletico Madrid’s Sergio Aguero and the Italian media are referring it as the ‘biggest summer swoop’. The Old Lady has put their money on the line ahead of the next season by receiving an increased cash flow from the parent
company Exor.
Juve were able to add good players to the squad during last year’s summer transfer window, but failed to give out an impactful result. In this regard, the director general Beppe Marotta believes that it’s time for a better strategy. Marotta believes that
the Lady Killers should lure three world champions to the club and that would be enough to make a difference in the upcoming 2011-12 season.
One of the names on the list is of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Indios-c39565 and in 170 appearances he has scored 70 goals for the outfit. The 22-year-old hit-man
is a promising young act and Juve would be more than happy to have such a player in the squad.
The task will not be an easy one though for the Lady Killers, as Aguero’s contract at the Red and Whites runs until 2014 and the current price tag of the striker is reckoned to be more than 35 million Euros. With such a price tag for a young striker, there
are speculations regarding the Old Lady being able to mount up the money for the purchase.
Juve are also looking forward to lure http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Matri-c4733, and these two players would cost 11 million and 15 million Euros, respectively. Both the strikers are with the Old Lady and are loaned players which Juve management are willing
to keep for the upcoming term.
On the other hand, Napoli and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 have come to common grounds and it is reported that Lavezzi will stay at Azzurri. The striker’s agent Alejandro Mazzoni confirmed that the forward is not going out of the Stadio San Paolo and will stay in Naples
for the next season.
While talking to media recently, Mazzoni said, “I’ve read a few stories, but there is nothing in them. Il Pocho is only thinking about Napoli and his future is here. We have no meeting set up with Napoli because there is no need to discuss anything; there
are no problems to resolve. Everything is fine. Obviously nothing lasts forever in football, but Lavezzi is well mentally and physically. He just wants to take Napoli into the Champions League.”
Napoli are currently third in the league table, one point adrift of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 will be the hosts for the upcoming game against Genoa this weekend and would be looking
forward to get the 2nd spot back from the Nerazzurri.
