After AC Siena’s decision to exercise the option of buying 50 percent of Destro’s rights, Inter Milan’s advantage of landing the striker have considerably lessened.
It seemed like Inter Milan would most definitely swoop for the youngster due to the rapport amongst the Genoa President, Enrico Preziosi and Massimo Moratti. Before signing the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 U-21 striker, Siena also had the option of co-ownership
of the player added into the contract when the loan deal expires.
It had been widely suggested that Siena would not be exercising the embedded option in the contract.
Preziosi was expecting the U-21 forward to come back to his club; Destro had come from the Inter youth academy. However, the Nerazzurri outfit decided to give away their striker as they did not see the apt potential in him to make
it to their forward line-up. However, Destro performed exceedingly well in the Serie A, scoring 12 goals in the last year’s campaign.
Preziosi has made it clear that he would give preference to the San Siro outfit, when giving away the striker.  The Rossoblu chief was quoted to have said:
“I don't think things are changing. We have not promised anything to anyone, but all things being equal Inter would have the advantage to take him home on a moral level.”
In his interview with Sky Sport Italia, he further declared his intent of preference for the Milanese giants by remarking:
“If a team offers 10 and Inter nine, I will give him to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567.”
The decision of the Robur came after Preziosi had made these remarks, and it would have annoyed the Genoa President along with his San Siro counterpart. Preziosi can still get 100 percent rights of the former Inter youth player,
but Juventus and AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 would feel they are in a better position to land the striker.
The current Juventus boss, Antonio Conte, had guided Siena to the Serie A last season before he made his move to the Turin based outfit. He is said to maintain good terms with the club which might be able to provide some leverage
to the Bianconeri.
Beppe Marotta, the Juventus Director-General, has shown his appreciation for the striker, and his eagerness to snap up the youngster for the Old Lady.
