Legendary Juventus attacker, Alessandro Del Piero, revealed that he has no intentions to retire as a professional footballer anytime soon and will like to play until he turns 40.
The Italian footballer is bound to the Turin giants until June next year, when his contract expires with Juve, and it is reckoned that the player would be looking for a new destination.
The club President, Andrea Agnelli, announced that it would be Del Piero's last season with La Vecchia Signora, which for most was a careless statement by the chairman.
The striker, who is still a part of the starting XI, is playing this season and such a premature statement has been blasted by many.
However, shortly afterwards, the hitman revealed that he will be moving out of Turin to a suitable place to play football and has no intentions to retire as a player.
The 37-year-old Italian revealed that he would like to gain some experience outside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 before he decides to come back to Turin and join the list of directors at the club.
The striker was recently talking to El Pais where he revealed his future plans and his decision to continue playing football.
"Where do I want to retire? It's not something I would like to respond to, but I hope to play until I am 40," Del Piero told El Pais. However, I do not want to think too much about this part of my career."
Foreseeing the vacant space after the departure of Del Piero, Juve are keen to find a suitable player that can take control of the legend’s position on the field. Recent reports from Italy revealed that the Lady Killers are keen on acquiring the 19-year-old
attacking midfielder, Mario Gotze.
Gotze currently plays for the German Bundesliga champions, Borussia Dortmund, and is one of the most sought out young talents in Europe. However, the player is bound to the German outfit until the summer of 2014, and his agent recently revealed that the
