Juventus looking to keep hold of on-loan Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani
It appears as though Juventus are going to go all out and try their level best to try and keep hold of their on-loan midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313. The midfielder was brought into the Italian club at the start of the season from Liverpool.
Aquilani joined Liverpool in the 2009 season, but after making only 26 appearances, most of which were either off the bench or just sixty minute introductions, the player was often made to feel like a surplus to requirement at the club. As a result, it
was decided that it would be best if he was sent out on loan.
When the Italian international joined Juventus, it was believed that the midfielder would end up putting pen to paper, on a permanent stay at the club, by the end of the season. However, 22 brilliant appearances later, it now seems like Liverpool feel the
need to recall their player, unless of course Juventus can fork out around 10 to 15 million pounds for the player.
This price is almost double of the six million that seemed to be the agreed-upon price between both the teams initially and the prime reason for the dramatic change in the Reds' asking price is the fact that Aquilani has been like a whole new player this
season. The midfielder has been performing to the top of his abilities and Liverpool feel that they have every right to demand more for a player, who is on top form.
Nonetheless, it is now believed that Juve are currently in extended talks with the Anfield based club regarding the midfielder’s future, which seems dependent on the mutual agreement of both clubs regarding the player's transfer fee.
At the moment, the Old Lady are reportedly not willing to pay anything over ten million pounds for the player, while Liverpool are looking to land around twelve million at the least.
However, perhaps it is not just the price of the player that Juventus need to be worrying about at the moment. With Kenny Dalglish dramatically turning things around at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Aquilani think of the possibilities of returning
to England and playing for the Reds once again.
There is as yet no clear information regarding this situation, since everything seems to be based on assumptions and rumours. However, what can be said assuredly is the fact that within the next month or so Aquilani’s future is going to be decided without
a doubt, but whether he’s going to be a Juventus player, or return to being a Red is a mystery to everyone.
