Juventus move closer to signing AC Milan playmaker Andrea Pirlo – Serie A Update
According to the latest reports coming out of Italy, Juventus FC are a step closer to the veteran AC Milan playmaker, Andrea Pirlo. The Old Lady has been encouraged by the Rossoneri to try and acquire the talismanic midfielder and lure him out of San Siro.
The Juventus sporting Director General, Giuseppe Marotta, is currently in contact with the Rossoneri officials. The two clubs maintain a healthy relationship and a deal is likely to be forged out. Marotta revealed that the outfit is looking forward to a
total overhaul of the team and they are looking forward to sign great players. The director added that experienced players, who know how to handle tough situation and keep their cool in the big games, would be the top choices.
Pirlo has been looking for a contract renewal with the Daviolo, but the progress has been too slow. With the season approaching the end, it would be a wise move for the Azzurri legend to look for a club that is willing to pay his hefty wages.
The Old Lady would be making a direct approach to the playmaker in the coming weeks and the transfer is very much likely to happen. The versatile midfielder would give Juve the advantage they need in the midfield.
The only problem with the playmaker will be his age and as the veteran is entering the twilight of his career, a big price tag would also be of concern for the Old Lady. Juventus would not be willing to pay 5 million Euros for the midfielder per season and
would expect the 31-year-old to accept a cut in the wages. Should the Bianconeri and Pirlo fail to reach an agreement, the Old Lady would go after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Pirlo-c5702, however, remains the priority. The Italian footballer would gladly move to Turin as many of his International teammates are playing for the Turin giants. It would be a great development for both the parties as one would benefit from the experience
of the veteran playmaker, while the other would find a perfect environment to express his football.
