The Bianconeri are currently in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/China-c8926 where they will look to avenge their Coppa Italia defeat in the Super Cup clash against the Partenopei, in the match that is set to be played in Beijing’s famous bird’s nest stadium.
Marchisio insisted that the match against Napoli is a great opportunity for his team to show that they are still the team to beat in the upcoming season, and insisted that everyone in his camp is hungry to get their hands on the first trophy of the new campaign.
While talking to the press, the Juventus playmaker said:
"We need to show we are the strongest in our game against Napoli. We are playing for the first trophy of the season, we are the reigning champions and we want to display that on the pitch. Juventus are always hungry for success.”
Marchisio was also asked about the effects of the Scommessopoli scandal on his team, which has seen several of the players and the officials of the club including their manager Antonio Conte, charged with allegations.
The Bianconeri midfielder was adamant that the focus of Juventus is on the field of play, and insisted that the enthusiasm of the Old Lady coach has been an inspiration for all of them.
The Vecchia Signora-man insisted that the Turin giants are resilient people, and stated that the Scommessopoli has only helped them to gather more vigour rather than subdue their motivation.
"We are just thinking about the game. We have got thick skin and seeing the coach so focused can only rub off on us. We are not affected by events going on around us, if anything it gives us a boost to do well."
Marchisio admitted that Napoli are a stronger side after having added reinforcements, but maintained that their opposition will be aware that they are up against a very strong competition.
