The Bianconeri have announced that they have sold the Dutch winger to Werder Bremen, while rumours suggest that Uruguayan midfielder could be sent on loan to Spanish club Mallorca.
Juventus have made official their sale of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eljero-Elia-c12318 to Werder Bremen, in a deal that is reported to have cost the German outfit an initial fee of around €5.5 million.
The Dutchman was put up for grab by the Old Lady in the summer transfer window, after the player failed to impress in his tenure with the club.
The winger was acquired by the Bianconeri from Hamburg for a price of around €9 million last summer, but the player only appeared in four games in the last season and his move seemed imminent.
While Elia has fetched Juventus only €5.5 million in cash, the Old Lady could also receive a further €2 million depending on the German outfit’s achievements in the next few campaigns.
The Dutch winger appeared for only 107 minutes in all of the 2011-12 campaign for the Champions, and also played in one Coppa Italia contest from his team.
On the other hand, Juventus are reported to be on their way to offload another of their players from the squad.
Latest reports in the media suggest that the Bianconeri’s transfer-listed midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martinez-c24468, could make a move to Mallorca but only on-loan.
The Uruguayan is reportedly not a part of Antonio Conte’s plans for the next season, and the latter is actively trying to find a new destination for the player.
The Bianconeri midfielder cost Juventus in the whereabouts of €12 million when they purchased him from Catania two years ago, but the playmaker has failed to live up to his promise at the Turin giants.
Martinez spent the last season on-loan to Cesena, where his season was battered with injuries and poor form, limiting him to just 13 unimpressive appearances in all of season.
Mallorca are reportedly ready to hand the midfielder a life-line for his career, and could give him an opportunity to show his skills in the Spanish League in the next season.
While no transfer fee has been decided, a move will come with significant loss on their investment for Juventus.
