The Italian international hoping to carry the winning momentum against Parma, and hails the Old Lady for the development they have made this season
Juventus defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giorgio-Chiellini-c14963, has warned his team of the threat posed by Sebastian Giovinco, ahead of his team’s visit to Parma in the midweek.
The Turin giants will travel to Stadio Ennio Tardini for the matchday 21 fixture on Tuesday, January 31. Juventus currently lead the league table with 44 points from 20 matches played thus far.
Chiellini has urged his men to be wary of the Crusaders as they have been in impressive form of late. The Italian international has warned his team of the threat posed by former Juve striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Giovinco-c32724, and insists that
he can down the league leaders. Giovinco joined Parma from Juve in the summer transfer window and has been a revelation since then.
The striker has scored seven goals in 14 matches played thus far, and has recently been linked with a move back to the Old Lady. The Italian international believes that the Gialloblu play good football at home and his team must
be up for their challenge. The Lady Killers defeated Udinese by 2-1 on Saturday, January 28, and Chiellini insists that playing another game after three days is never easy and his team must regain their energy levels.
While talking to the reporters, Chiellini said,
“Parma are a great team at home. Giovinco is the star and we know him well. It will be important to be able to regain our energy levels, because we’re playing every three days and this will continue until the [Coppa Italia] clash
with AC Milan.”
The versatile defender is delighted with his team’s remarkable performances in the ongoing season, and is hoping to end the season with at least one piece of silverware.
"We’re performing beyond the best possible expectations. We were convinced that we’d be able to enjoy a great season, but we were also coming off the back of two difficult years and a lot changed in the summer. We’ve done well
to find an immediate balance and an identity of playing. Now we’re continuing to develop.”
Juventus have also advanced to the semi-finals of Coppa Italia and will play A.C Milan.
