The club has come forward and stated their opinion on the verdicts handed out by the sporting authority. They received the news of Leonardo Bonucci and Simone Pepe with great enthusiasm as they were acquitted from all charges in the Scommessopoli match fixing
controversy. However, they have decided to keep their faith in the integrity and honesty of their managing staff, as Antonio Conte and Angelo Alessio have been banned from participation in football.

The reason for the acquittal of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-c29670 came from the same match, the Bari-Udinese
match in May 2010. Bonucci was charged with the more serious crime of sporting fraud, whereas Pepe was deemed to have prior knowledge of the match being fixed.
If found guilty, Bonucci would have faced up to two and a half years out of the game; and Pepe would have had a year away from the game.
Soon after hearing the news of the judgements, Juventus football club issued a statement which gave their support to Conte, and remarked:
“Juventus Football Club, on the ruling issued by the Disciplinary Commission of FIGC, warmly welcomes the acquittal of its players Leonardo Bonucci and Simone Pepe and reiterates its full support for Antonio Conte and Angelo Alessio in the hope that the
next degree of judgement can finally allow their innocence to emerge fully.”
Antonio Conte would be looking to appeal against the ban and he has till the 20th of August to file an appeal in the Federal Court of Justice. Juventus went ahead to comment that a highly skilled team of lawyers would be at the disposal of Conte
and Alessio so that their case is put forth as strongly as possible.
