Juventus striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Amauri-c5381 considering Olympique de Marseille interest – Ligue 1 news
Italian international Amauri is reportedly considering a move to French Ligue 1 giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127. Amauri, currently on the books of Italian Serie A side Juventus has been linked with a move away from Turin this summer and could possibly join
the Rhone outfit.
Didier Deschamps, coach of the 2009/2010 Ligue 1 champions is looking for a striker for the upcoming season and considers the 31-year-old striker as a valuable addition to the squad. The Brazil-born Italian international spent the second half of the 2010/2011
Serie A campaign on loan at fellow Serie A side Parma where he regained some of his lost form by scoring seven goals in 11 league games.
Reports now suggest that the striker’s performances for Parma could add more value to his price in the transfer market and Juventus could consider cashing in on a player who has been far from a revelation since his arrival at the club from Palermo in the
summer of 2008.
Bianconeri paid Palermo 22.8 million Euros for the services of the former Chievo man but the Turin giants never saw the best of the Carapicuiba-born player.
Amauri is also keen on making a move away from the club and is considering embarking on one last challenge in his playing career before he hangs his boots.
While talking to the Italian media, Amauri admitted of Marseille’s interest in him and said that he is interested by Marseille’s interest in him.
Reports suggest that Didier Deschamps is considering bringing the striker on loan at the Stade Velodrome. However, Amauri’s agent Giampiero Pocet has ruled out a loan move for his client.
“Yes, there is much interest from Marseille. We are now waiting to see if anything concrete will happen however, Amauri will not be available on loan. There are English and German teams also interested in him,” Pocet said thus ruling out a possibility of
a loan move.
Though Deschamps is keen to sign Amauri it seems that the French tactician is waiting on the departure of Lucho Gonzalez so that he can sign Amauri for the fee the club receives for the Argentine’s departure.
