Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella desperate to start for Turin giants – Serie A Update
Juventus FC forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Quagliarella-c13194, is keen to be in the starting XI for the Turin giants in the Italian top flight. However, as the Juve squad is overcrowded with strikers – and that might be a problem for most of the attackers in the team – Quagliarella
still believes that it will not be an issue for him and he will reserve his position as the primary striker.
La Vecchia Signora currently have seven strikers in their roster and Alessandro Matri, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Matri-c4733, Luca
Toni, Mirko Vucinic, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincenzo-Iaquinta-c36199 and Juve legend Alessandro Del Piero to fit into Antonio Conte’s starting XI.
The 28-year-old striker is confident that by working hard he will be able to impress his coach and will reserve his place in the Juve starting XI. The Italian international was recently talking to Il Corriere dello Sport, where he revealed his feelings and
said:
"The big teams always have great players in their squads and so the competition is not a problem for me. In fact it is a stimulus for me to convince the coach."
Juve recently acquired a new forward, Mirko Vucinic, from fellow Italian outfit AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603. The 15 million Euros summer signing is reckoned to be a great addition to the team and Quagliarella is already impressed by his qualities. Vucinic is yet to score his
first Serie A goal for the Lady Killers but the Montenegrin international has assisted one goal.
"I already knew Vucinic before he came here, and he has done some fantastic things in training already. I think our attacking department is full of quality,” concluded the Italian hitman.
On the other hand, the recently appointed head coach and former Bianconeri midfielder, Antonio Conte, believes that his players should learn from the top teams in Europe. The tactician recently said that the Lady Killers should pick up the qualities of teams
like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 FC and Manchester United in order to put up a good show in the Italian top flight in the 2011/12 season.
