Italian giants Juventus are reportedly looking to sign Benfica’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oscar-c28720 Cardozo and Luisao in order to maintain their momentum in Serie A.
The Bianconeri are currently flying high in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 and have displayed some fine form this term. Although on top of the standings, the club are on level with AC Milan and are likely to pressurize their rivals till the very end.
Antonio Conte’s men boast world-class players in their ranks with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luca-Toni-c22526 and Andrea Pirlo coming to mind. However the veterans are close to hanging up their boots and Juve want to rejuvenate their squad without compromising
much on experience.
Juventus have the financial muscle to lure in any target they want, but it seems as if they have turned their attention to Benfica’s Luisao and Oscar Cardozo to curb the loss of their senior players, who will all be out of the club in the near future.
Del Piero is set to part ways with the Vecchia Signora at the end of the campaign and in order to curb the loss of their influential attacker, Antonio Conte has his sights fixed on Cardozo.
The Paraguayan International has become one of the most coveted forwards in Europe following some super seasons for the Reds but uptil now hasn’t been able to ply his trade at a top side. Having already scored 115 goals in 191 appearances, he has certainly
proved his attacking prowess and should comfortably fit in at the Juventus Stadium.
Luisao has also had his share of fans, as he has been a solid rock in the Eagles’ defence over the years. Despite being 30, the centre-back has shown no signs of slowing down and contrary to that had been performing so superbly that Paris Saint-Germain had
been on his trail a couple of months ago.
While a move looked certain to materialize, the Brazilian eventually decided to stay at Estadio da Luz and has pledged his future to the Lisbon outfit.
Although both Luisao and Cardozo could prove to be excellent signings for Juventus, the Italians will still have to cough up nearly €80 million to secure both the players, as Cardozo’s buyout clause is valued at €60 million and Luisao’s €20 million.
Then of course there is the possibility that Benfica might not be letting their star assets leave, as they are considered to be important members of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Jesus’ team for the campaign.
Luisao has already reiterated that he will end his career at the Stadium of Light and therefore convincing him to leave will be quite a tough task. But as Cardozo still has some good years left in him, he could be persuaded to join Antonio Conte’s title-chasing
Serie A side.
