Juventus to make a final decision on Alberto Aquilani in next 2 days – Serie A Update
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 reveal that Juventus would make a final decision in the next 48 hours.
While talking to the media recently, the player’s agent, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Zavaglia, seemed disappointed with the scenario surrounding Aquilani at the moment.
"Juventus have first refusal on the player. They have made a commitment with me and with Liverpool. We will have to wait for the next two days and then we will see what decision to make." The agent said.
The Italian midfielder arrived in Turin last year in August, when the two clubs agreed on a loan transfer deal and Juve kept the right to buy the player at end of the 2010/11 season. Juve were required to pay 16 million Euors to make the deal permanent.
The player made 33 appearances for the Old Lady and it was highly anticipated that Juve would keep the player for the upcoming 2010/11 season, having given the player’s agent, and Liverpool, their word.
However, Juve later asked for a concession on the asking price and offered 10 million instead of the initially agreed sum of 16 million, an offer duly rejected by Liverpool. Recently, it was reported that Juve reduced the offer further down to a mere 6 million
Euros, leaving the player and the English outfit disappointed with their unacceptable behaviour.
Furthermore, AC Milan are reported to be eyeing the deal amidst the uncertainty surrounding Aquilani’s transfer. However, Zavaglia dismissed any such news.
“I know nothing of Milan’s interest. Let’s wait for these next two days and then we’ll see what happens,” Zavaglia concluded.
Juve, in the light of their recent acquisitions to fortify the midfield, are unlikely to increase the price they are offering for Aquilani. The addition of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Reto-Ziegler-c30895 and the probable signing Gokhan Inler would be enough for Juve. Moreover,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Marchisio-c9312 is another good player at the outfit already.
