The Bianconeri striker on-loan from AS Roma faces uncertainty regarding his future at the Old Lady amidst rumours and struggling form.
Juventus have snubbed all rumours claiming that the club has decided to let http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Borriello-c23672 go at the end of the season.
Reports emerged earlier today, that the Old Lady have sent a fax to AS Roma, stating that they have no intentions of buying the striker once his loan tenure elapses at the club.
The striker’s agent insisted that the Bianconeri are yet to make a decision pertaining to the player’s future at the club, and dismissed all rumours claiming otherwise as lie.
Borriello is currently going through a poor run of form with Juve, having failed to score in his 10 appearances for the club. The striker’s representative insists that there is still time to go until the end of the season, and
a lot can change during that time. He maintained that the rumour is a lie and there is no point in discussing the matter.
While talking to Tutto, the striker’s agent Tiberio Cavalleri said:
“The story is devoid of any foundation. I can reiterate that it is not true that Juventus have sent a fax to Roma saying that they won’t sign Borriello. There is no truth in it. As a result, I really don’t want to discuss it –
it would just be a waste of time.”
Juventus have an option in the contract of buying the star once the season comes to a close. The 29-year-old has apparently failed to live up to the €8m price tag placed in the loan contract, and that has given rise to the controversy
that striker is unwanted at the Bianconeri. Juve have also paid €500,000 for his loan, and according to the reports the Old Lady remain unconvinced by the centre-forward’s endeavours at the club, and are willing to let him go.
