danger away.
In the 16th minute of the match, Milan was in a prime position to take the lead as Jankulovski was played in by Cassano. The Italian striker was sent on his way by the Czech international full back but his final pass was intercepted by Sorenson
as Juventus denied Milan a clean goal scoring opportunity.
In the 20th minute of the match, Juventus’s Matri tried his luck on Milan’s goal from outside the home side’s penalty area. However, the midfielder’s shot was way wide of the mark as Milan was awarded a goal kick by the referee.
For the first 20 minutes of the match, Juventus was totally dominated by the visiting side as Massimiliano Allegri’s team maintained superiority in the middle of the park. Milan’s front partnership of Ibrahimovic and Cassano was always a handful for Juventus
in the first 45 minutes. Both the strikers toyed with Traore and Barzagli while Buffon found it hard to marshal Juventus’s inexperienced back line.
In the 21st minute of the first half, Milan had a golden opportunity to open the scoring as Kevin Prince Boateng played in Cassano. The Italian trequartista shifted the ball to his left foot inside the Juventus penalty area but failed to provide
the crucial finishing touch as his shot went just inches wide of Juventus’s goal. Thus, the score line remained at 0-0 as the half-time whistle blew at Stadio Olimpico.
