The Bianconeri president admits to the Old Lady’s interest in Marco Verratti but suggests that they may delay their move; insists the club will soon make a bid for Mattia Destro.
Beppe Marotta has admitted interest in acquiring the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Giovinco-c32724, and insists that Juventus will soon make a move to sort out the co-ownership deal with Parma.
The striker is currently co-owned by the Crusaders and the Old Lady, and the Turin giants will have to pay the other co-owners in order to acquire the full possession.
Marotta stated that they sent Giovinco away with consideration, that some time in the provinces will give him the much needed experience and maturity to become a better player.
The Bianconeri chief stated that the move has proved to be a positive one for the striker, and insisted that he is ready to play football at any stage. The director added that the Vecchia Signora will soon make their move to rid
the player of the co-ownership deal, and buy him out of Parma.
While talking to the press, the 57-year-old said:
“We thought it was best to send Giovinco out into the provinces to gain experience. It has been a positive for him; he has matured and is therefore ready for any stage. We’ll soon sort out the co-ownership with Parma.”
Juventus have also been linked with a move for Marco Verratti, and Mattia Destro - two Under-21 Internationals.
Marotta hailed the Pescara midfielder as a superb talent, and stated that he can see a future star in the youngster who is destined to be a top level player.
The Bianconeri boss insisted that while the midfielder has shown well over the years, he might need a little more experience. The executive added that the Old Lady is interested in the Pescara-man, but insisted that they could
leave him at his present club for another year.
The sports department CEO admitted his interest in Mattia Destro, and stated that the Turin giants will soon make a move for the striker. The director hoped that the club will be able to bag the Siena forward, but insisted that
if they fail, then whoever signs him would have done well.
Both Verratti and Destro have been included in Cesare Prandelli’s 32-man preliminary squad for Euro 2012.
